Com a \u00e9ssers vius que som, ens adaptem al medi ambient i actuem en funci\u00f3 d\u2019aquest segons les variacions de l\u2019entorn i els canvis que s\u2019hi produeixen.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A aquest fenomen se l\u2019anomena \u00abritmes circadians\u00bb, alteracions f\u00edsiques, mentals i conductuals que segueixen el cicle regular de 24 hores i responen, principalment, al canvi llum\/foscor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Per\u00f2 com funcionen i per qu\u00e8 s\u00f3n importants?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019organisme capta els senyals ambientals i els processa al cervell, en una zona situada a l\u2019hipot\u00e0lem anomenada nucli supraquiasm\u00e0tic (NSQ).<\/strong> All\u00e0 \u00e9s on es troba el rellotge biol\u00f2gic dels mam\u00edfers, format per 20.000 neurones. L\u2019activitat de l\u2019NSQ es veu afectada per factors externs, com l\u2019alimentaci\u00f3, l\u2019horari dels \u00e0pats, les condicions ambientals, les interaccions socials&#8230; per\u00f2, sobre tot, la llum. Despr\u00e9s d\u2019incidir a la retina, porta informaci\u00f3 a l\u2019NSQ, que despr\u00e9s passa a la gl\u00e0ndula pineal, on se secreta la melatonina, l&#8217;hormona que controla la son.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A m\u00e9s d\u2019afectar els patrons de la son, influeix a la digesti\u00f3, la temperatura corporal, l\u2019alliberaci\u00f3 d\u2019hormones, la regeneraci\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular i l\u2019activitat del cervell.<\/strong> Per aix\u00f2 la seva harmonia \u00e9s tan important, perqu\u00e8 repercuteix a totes les funcions i necessitats del nostre cos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019alteraci\u00f3 a l\u2019ordre d\u2019aquests ritmes t\u00e9 un efecte negatiu a curt i llarg termini.<\/strong> A curt termini, pot produir-se el conegut <em>jet lag<\/em>, amb s\u00edmptomes de fatiga, desorientaci\u00f3 i insomni. Tamb\u00e9 es poden produir desordres ps\u00edquics i neurol\u00f2gics, trastorn afectiu estacional, trastorn bipolar i trastorns de la son d\u2019origen afectiu, entre d\u2019altres.
