With the arrival of summer, we say goodbye to the cold and sedentary Winter, and welcome long, sunny days and outdoor activities. During summer we have more hours of sunlight to practice our favorite sports which during Winter we have not had time to play.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Regular exercise throughout the year helps to prevent illness and strengthens the heart; but, not everyone has the same willpower to remain active during Winter. So, when good weather arrives, many tries to participate in sports which may not be in harmony with our physical conditions.<\/strong>This is why, just like we take our car for an inspection prior to a long trip, undergoing a medical check-up before summer can help us evaluate our physical health before demanding of our body much more than it can offer.<\/p>\n

Swimming and running in excessive heat can become dangerous activities which generate fatigue, especially if our weight is not adequate. What's most important is to prevent disease, taking the opportunity given by the checkup to ask any questions about discomforts, weight, and habits which may have interfered in our well-being and, in this way, minimize the risk of illnesses which may be life-threatening.<\/p>\n
