Recognizing a stroke -The 3 Steps, STR.<\/p>\n

Neurologist say that the trick is to recognize a stroke. Actually, one neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours, he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke.
\nStroke symptoms can be difficult to recognize. Good news is that by learning and remembering the below 3 simple questions test, you could save a life:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Ask the person to Smile.<\/li>\n
  2. Talk-to say a simple sentence coherently, i.e. “It is sunny outside today”<\/li>\n
  3. Raise both arms<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    If the person fails in ANY of these simple tests, call the ambulance-or better, drive the person directly to the hospital yourself.<\/p>\n

    \nPS. if you are unsure even after the above 3 test, ask the person to stick out his\/her tongue. If the tongue is “crooked”-going to one side or the other-this is also a sign of a stroke.<\/p>\n
