Policies are contracted on a calendar year basis (the first period being the date joined to the 31st of December).
Waiting periods:
- Surgical operations and hospitalisation require a six-month waiting period. In the case of surgical operations when there is a vital risk, the waiting period will be eliminated.
- Birth assistance, which shall have a waiting period of 8 months. In the event of dystocial labours that take place in an extreme emergency situation, waiting periods shall be eliminated.
- High technology diagnosis methods require a six-month waiting period.
- Special treatments shall require a six-month waiting period.
- Prostheses shall require a twelve-month waiting period.

Se rige por la Ley 44/2002 de 22 de noviembre, de Medidas de Reforma del Sistema Financiero y por la Orden ECO 734/2004, de 11 de marzo, sobre los departamentos y servicios de atención al cliente de las entidades financieras.
