Tips for preventing injuries when starting an exercise program

The main objective when beginning any sports activity should be to avoid injury, for more productive and beneficial results. Several aspects must be taken into consideration to reduce the chance of injury.

Initial physical assessment

The body is composed of a large number of muscles and joints that need to work in the best possible harmony. Therefore, they should be assessed before starting any physical activity to confirm that they are in proper working condition. If this is not the case, any underlying issues should be treated before beginning an exercise program.

Progressive adaptation to the activity

This aspect is closely related to the previous assessment made by qualified personnel. It is important to know what condition the body is in, what exercises can be performed and most importantly, your limits.

The body must adapt to the training load. The most difficult aspect of the personal training field is determining the optimal amount of exercise to be applied to each client.

Use the correct sports equipment

Nowadays, there is a wide range of material for all sports with respect to the type of athlete and the desired objective. It is important to acquire the right material for each sport as it is related to the functionality and technicality that can be achieved.

Qualified training personnel

It is recommended that you put yourself in the hands of a physical trainer who will determine your training load and the ideal exercises for the sport you wish to practice.
