The doctor: an essential role in health insurance

January 29, 2026Insurance

Medical professionals are indispensable figures in society and, therefore, in health insurance. They not only treat illnesses, but also accompany, prevent, listen, and provide support to individuals. They are, thus, essential for improving quality of life and promoting well-being.

In their practice, in addition to instruments such as the stethoscope, they employ tools such as empathy, humane treatment, and effective communication. Likewise, they also work in collaboration with other professionals to address different health challenges and to achieve efficient diagnoses and outcomes.

For all these reasons, it is essential that the doctor be qualified, trained, and experienced. In this way, he or she will be able to attend to patients correctly and provide them with the necessary care throughout all stages of their lives in a professional and approachable manner.

At ASSSA we are fully aware of the importance of having medical care of excellence and of practitioners who take a genuine interest in the health of the Policyholders.

For this reason, committed to comprehensive and first-class assistance, we have at our disposal an extensive Medical Directory with trusted professionals and centres, with whom we maintain a direct and constant relationship. Likewise, we listen to our Policyholders in order to understand their level of satisfaction and we take into account their requests and suggestions, striving to meet their expectations.

To offer a greater variety of options in different areas, we work to strengthen our presence by incorporating into our Medical Directory specialities that respond to local needs. Likewise, in order to remove language barriers, we include numerous multilingual centres or centres with translation services, as well as hospitals of recognised international prestige.

We know how important peace of mind is. For this reason, we provide direct access to a multitude of specialists and the option of a second medical opinion, which offers greater confidence in diagnoses and treatments.

Alongside this, we provide our Policyholders with various tools, such as the Medical Directory on the website, updated at all times; the Insured Portal, for carrying out online procedures; and the electronic and virtual card, for accessing services in a convenient and straightforward manner.

At ASSSA we dedicate ourselves to paying attention to every detail in order to guarantee healthcare of the highest quality and to ensure that we more than fulfil our objective: the care of health.
